Stop saying “yes;” start making the most of your time.


Ever feel like no matter what you do, you never have enough time?

I know the feeling. You’re stressed, overworked, and somehow, you always end up falling into bed exhausted — even when you’ve planned free hours into your week! Even light days leave you stressed, overworked, and dissatisfied. You’re so busy taking care of whatever comes up that never have the time to pursue the projects and interests that you truly care about. It’s a hard way to live, for sure!

Here’s my question, though — how often do you say “no” to people who ask for your time?

Say no to overextending yourself, no to taking on someone else’s pet project, and no to giving up every evening and weekend! Saying no doesn’t make you selfish — it means that you’re taking care of yourself. You can only support others if you know when to step away and look after your own well-being.

There are not enough hours in the day for you to say “yes” all the time and still have the energy to pursue the goals that are important to you.

Don’t worry; you don’t need to learn how to take on “no” by yourself. This week, I want to share some ways that you can stop saying “yes” to everything and focus on taking care of yourself.
